See our Submission Rules.
How do I contact the site administrators?
You can e-mail us via our contact form. This is the place to ask any questions not answered here.
If you have not already done so, please register for an account. Once you've logged in, click on Account Information and choose Add Story. The form presented there will allow you to submit your story.
What are the ratings used on the site?
U/G - suitable for all readers including children
PG - suitable for most audiences, but may contain things that might disturb
younger children
12/PG13 - suitable for all those 12 and over, may contain swearing, kissing
and mentions of sex, but nothing explicit and mild violence.
15/R - only suitable for young adults and may contain swearing, violence and
sex.
18/NC17 - only suitable for adults due to violence or sex.
Difference between 15/R and 18/NC17 - If your story recounts in graphic detail torture or murder then is should be 18/NC17, but if there is some blood and gore which is not described in great detail then 15/R is what you want. With any sexual content this sites goes by the guide that if things like bodily fluids are lovingly described or the account is graphically blow by blow then it should be 18/NC17, but if there is sex where slot A and tab B are alluded to rather than intimately descirbed 15/R is the correct rating. Use your best judgement or ask the admins if you are unsure.
If your story is submitted with an incorrect rating the admins reserve the right to alter it to the correct rating.
What are the story classifications?
Stories are classified by the following criteria:
- Category - this is the overall fandom within which is should reside. Please pick the lowest possible sub-categories which applies to your fic. If subcategories are added later which are more appropriate to an existing fic that for example is in the misc section of a main category, then the author will be asked to move it or the admins will do it.
- Relationship - this indicates what type of relationships will be found in
the fic.
- Slash - there is a same sex male/male relationship as a major part of the fic
- Femslash - there is a same sex female/female relationship as a major part of the fic
- Het - there is a heterosexual relationship as a major part of the fic
- Gen (none) - there are no major relationship as a major part of the fic
- Genres - this gives the reader an indication of what to expect from the
fic and a fic may be in several genres, for example Humour/Romance
- Crossover - if you use characters or situations from more than one universe in your fic then use this genre (you do not have to use this if you are writing about several Jrock or Jpop bands in the same story because that would be the real world with the real world and hence only one universe, but if you were to cross Jrock with Harry Potter, or Gundum Wing with Weiss Kreuz etc. that would be a crossover).
- PWP - plot what plot! - all about the sex
- Angst - there is lots of character pain and suffering in the fic which may or may not be resolved
- Hurt/Comfort - x is hurt and y does their best to put them back together and make it all better
- Drama - fic is all about the deep plot
- AU - fic breaks away from the canon of the fandom, for example your favourite jrockers are all in school
- Fluff - fic is light and happy, at least in parts
- Humour - fic is funny
- Romance - fic is about x falling in love with y
- Action/Adventure - fic is all about the car chases or the space ships or the assassins
- Three/Moresome - fic with a romantic relationship of three people or more.
- Warnings - these should be self explaintory. If your fic contains one of
these please warn for it:
- Explicit Sex
- Explicit Violence
- BDSM
- Incest
- Mild Sex
- Mild Violence
- Bestiality
- Non-con/Rape
- Major Character Death
- Bad Language
- Light Bondage
How can I have a new category added to the system?
If you wish to have a new category added you need three things: the name of the fandom for the category; a list of characters required for that fandom; at least one posted fic that is relevant to that category. Once you have these three things please use the contact form to submit the all of them as a request telling us which category the new category should be put under. Your request will be considered and if it is believed that there will be more fics for that category it will be added.
How can I have a new character added to a category?
If there is a character missing from a category please use the contact form to request that the character be added. Please remember to list the category to which you would like the character added.
What do RPS and RPF stand for?
RPF = Real Person Fanfic - fanfic using real people as characters
RPS = Real Person Slash - slash using real people as characters
If you obey all the rules for uploading fanfic consistently for a period of time which satisfies the mods they can set you to validated, which means your stories will go straight up once submitted without waiting for moderation.
